I'm sure there are most of us that believe babies can see what we don't see.
When my little sister was around a few months old, just out of the blue she would scream her lungs out as if something had scared her.
Mum would run to get tea leaves to fofo her with. We also have this ball of crushed leaves wrapped in thin material. Mum would dip this into warm luke water and pat it gently around babies body.
While Mum is doing this she's reassuring her and saying, "Tell them to go away and leave you alone ok? Say shoo, alu ese, ou te le fia ta'alo ma oe." Hehe it was funny and cute watching Mum do this, but then again it was serious at the same time.
Between 5 - 10mins later, my little sister would stop crying.
Although I don't believe in ghosts, this is one of a few things that I do believe where babies can see ghosts/monsters or whatever.

Thats true. Same thing happened to my lil nephew. Kind of scary and I felt sooo sorry for him back then, but now he's such a lil shatlaughing.gif

Yeah same here. She's 8years now. We have a 16 year age gap, so in a way, it was easy for Mum to have me to depend on in helping to raise her. We adopted her from Samoa. When we went to get her, you know how the graves are next to the fale's, Mum would say to her, "Fai ia grandpa e alu e malolo aua uo o'o mai le po, ae koe feiloa'i taeao." Lol.

Haha.

someone said something about not being able to move and seeing a ghostly shadow...this has happened to me. I was about 16/17 when it started and it only happened at night, not every night, just every now and then. Being a girl, I would cry but I couldn't move or scream, sometimes I couldn't even breath. I treid to pray for strength, or for God o help me but I just couldn't think. It felt like people were holding me down, but I only saw one shadow. The last time it happened was just over a year ago, and I'm 24 now.... and have kids of my own.... and I'm still scared of it.... I don't know what or why this is happening to me.... I'd like some advice... or suggestions... only my hubby knows.....

I think you need to talk to your parents about this.
There might be some family history that your parents know of, but didn't feel that it was relevant to talk to you about it. Like there could be others in the family that have experienced something similar and might know what this ghost or whatever this thing is.

biggrin.gifI agree! Its always something to do with your family history. Sometimes it could be someone who held a grudge against your ancestors who are now taking it out on you. That shiz happens which is sooo unfairno.gif Especially when your trying to stay strong for your kids it really sux! Keep your head up though and never stop praying, God can see you struggle and if you give him a ring he'll help you for surebiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Thank you both for your advice, I do try my best to atleast remeber the Lord's name when it happens. One thing I didn't include in my previous post, one of my parents is palagi. And I know the skeletons that are in our family closet. Is there anything I can do stop this from happening to me and further on, my daughters, like an excercising or something, anything? Unfortunately, I don't live in Samoa, so I can't find those old old women who do the fofo thing... Any help would be appreciated.
This thing has even followed me when I moved house and across oceans.

Always hopefull....

You have the ability or another word you're sensitive,it just means that you can see &hear what others can't.You are not cursed or anything like that, whoever is haunting you must be someone from your family who has a message for you.Sometimes spirits get frustrated when we don't pay attention to them, especially if they know you can see & hear them.If you feel that you do not want to communicate with them, then get help from a Priest to bless your house & have him say a prayer.

You need to embrace your gift,I know you probably don't want to hear this right now but its the only way to get your life back on track. The next time you have another visit from the otherside, ask it what it want,if there are any reason why its there.Remember not to be afraid,if you show fear it will try and possesed you.Have your husband there or anyone with you,if you're religious get some crosses blessed by a priest and hang it around your house.Always say a prayer everynight before you go to bed,the hail mary is good, that really works if you do not know it just go to a catholic church and get a prayer book, that if you are not catholic.I hope this helps, always have faith and do not show fear....GOD BLESS YOU...

When I get scared, I say the Lord's prayer, psalms 23, THE LORD IS MY SHEPARD, over and over, and it comforts me and the fear of anything goes away. Next time try this, you will be amazed, it really works, at least for me it does. good luck.

That some freaky **** eh,I never really believed in all that spooky stuff, but when it happened so close to home it really changes you.I went to Samoa last year for X-mas & my cousin was sick,i thought she had the flu because she had all the signs.I gave her some of my flu capsules to take,so it will help her get better.A week later she was still not getting any better,so i thought maybe she needs to go to the hospital. My aunty decided to make a Samoan medicine for her,she gave her some to take but she refuses to drink it.So she tried to Fofo her with the leafs but she got really violent and started kicking and bunching anyone who will tried and restraint her.I said to my aunty whats wrong with her?She told me that she thinks my cousin is been possesed,i said are you sure?So she rang my other cousin who had a car to come & picked them up,so they can take her to a Samoan fofo.I didn't believed any of it,i thought they were all nuts but i went with them anyways, just out of curiousity. We arrived at the house and an old lady said for us to come in,so i helped my cousin inside because she could not walked. The old lady started asking my cousin all these questions, whats your name?who are you?why are you here?what did she do wrong?so on and on..I thought to myself is this for real,Anyways she started making a samoan vai,she got up and walked towards us & said to my aunty hold her down but she could not hold my cousin down,so i got up & helped her.My cousin was so strong we could hardly keep her on the floor, she just went nuts and swearing but still refused to answer any of the old lady's questions. We had to spread her legs,so she could put all of the leafs up her fanny. The old lady said she knew who it was that was possessing her, apparently he did not like the way she dresses and her wearing make-up,and kekeu too much.We asked her who it was and the old lady said it was KUIFITI,he's responsible for a lot unexplained deaths in young samoan girls. He is also the one who took these 2 girls that are famous in samoa,i do not remember their names but one of them is from the village of Saleimoa. We went home that day and my cousin was walking around like nothing had happened to her,i was freaking out because that was the first time i had ever seen anything like that.Saddly the old lady passed away earlier this year, they said she was sick from her FOFOs.

i dont fink it was kui-fiki, i fink it was kui-pipi

I RECKON.. THE OLD LADY DID..biggrin.gifwink.gif

Thats called child sex abuse when you shove things up girls fanny? i think it was Kui-Pipi that got the girl.

BUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!smile.gif

anyone get that "malu'ia" thing when you wake up in the middle of the night all stiffed cant move and see things like a shadow of a person?? i get this alot when young back in Samoa at our house. our house is an old family owned home from day one. Then i became older and came overseas and having gone through any malu'ia's for ages till one night was a full moon, and my bed is next to the window i had the blinds open and the window just slightly pushed out opened.. i woke up and realised was stiffed and couldn't move, couldn't say a thing when i tried and i kept fighting it till i felt normal again. i noticed at the time i didn't had my bedsheet on me and that cool breeze through the window and moon may be the cause of the malu'ia thing so i tried again sleeping like that and i got malui'a one after another it was kinda fun but i didn't see things or a shadow thou..

Or if you want to look at the more logical, more or less, less scary side of things, it's called sleep paralysis. Sometimes you awake suddenyly and then you have these immense feelings of anxiety and fright, like you may think there's an aiku or evil in the room. Well it's pretty much like your mind wakes up before your body does. So you open your eyes but you can't move at all. It's something like adrenolin rushing to your head making you think all these thoughts until a certain period of time passes and you either fall back to sleep or you can move again. It happened to me and I looked it up. But some people say that it's because your spirit has left your body to search for something or something like that but your mind has been left to wander. I wanted to cry when it happened to me, but I couldn't, and it's like my eyes were entities of their own, they could only concentrate straight up into this dark space of my mirror cupboard which was open and is situated like two metres from my bed. All I could do was develop an image of Jesus and concentrate on it, ~deep breath~.... I fall asleep.

when i was 3, still living back home(upolu) i heard a baby cry and the sound came from behind a tombstone. it was my aunts grave. i walked towards the grave, the crying gets louder and now im running to look for this baby, i found a small basket behind the tombstone and then i hear my mothers voice calling me, i reach into the basket and grab the crying infant, i didnt want to leave it behind. as i reached our house i realized that i was no longer carrying anything. i told my mother the story, well, she smack me and lecured me about wandering at night by myself, 21 yrs later (actually a few minutes ago) , i was told that my aunt was burried together with my cousin whom died when she was 2 months old. ,

Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Failauga 9: 5,6. Aua o e ola, ua latou iloa e oti i latou; a o e ua oti, latou te le iloa se mea; ua leai foi se toe totogi ia te i latou; aua ua faagalogaloina i latou. O lo latou alofa foi, ma lo latou ita, ma lo latou mataua, ua mavae lava ia; ua le toe aia i latou e faavavau i mea uma ua faia i lalo o le la.

O Satani ma ana demons na e taufaasese ia i tatou. Have faith and trust in God.
